"We want to increase our 340,000 unit sales from last year – by 8 to 10 percent – thanks to existing models. We aim to sell 45,000 units of the Ibiza ST (station wagon) this year. And the Alhambra already is well above plan so we expect a full-year volume of 20,000 units. This proves that our brand is gaining strength," Muir was quoted as saying by Autonews Europe.
For 2012, the company has even bigger plans, fueled by the launch of four new models. "We will launch four new cars: the new Leon, a totally new entry-level model, a four-door sedan and a major Ibiza facelift," said Muir, who was appointed head of Seat in 2009.

The stock model rolls out of the Spanish firm's factory with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot producing 265HP and 350Nm of torque. Thanks to performance kit that includes a recalibrated ECU, a sport air filer and a new exhaust system, the tuner increases those numbers to 330HP and 420Nm.
The Cupra R is powered by a VW Group-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged four-pot delivering a maximum output of 265HP and a peak torque of 350 Nm at 2,500 rpm that drive the front-wheels through a revised six-speed manual gearbox.
It seems like SEAT's marketing team is on rampage lately. After the Cupra, FR, Cupra R, FR550, FR1 and who knows how many other versions, the Spanish firm is launching yet another trim level for the Leon hatchback called the 'Linea R'. It is available with the 170HP 2.0-liter TDI diesel and the 160HP 1.8-liter TSI and the 200HP 2.0-liter TSI petrol units. Compared to the FR, the Linea R stands out thanks to the more aggressively styled front and rear bumpers that feature oversized faux air-vents, new tailpipes and 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with 225 /40 R18 tires.
The Linea R's interior is distinguished by a new leather steering wheel, a round leather gearknob embossed with the "SEAT Sport" logo, a chrome surround joining it to the console and a cross-stitched gaiter in SEAT red.
All variants of the Leon Linea R get an extensive list of standard equipment including ABS and TCS, ESP, low tire pressure warning, double front airbag, side and front airbags, foglights, dual zone climate control, cruise control, CD MP3 radio and aux-in, and 8 speakers, among others.
Claiming to have developed the fastest ever production model in the Spanish automaker’s history, SEAT of The Netherlands introduced a special edition version of the Leon Cupra that packs a whopping 310 ponies under its hood. Based on the standard Cupra, the Dutch upgraded the 240HP 2.0-liter TFSI engine (the same unit is used on the Golf GTI) to develop a total output of 310 HP and a maximum torque of 425 Nm or 315-lbs/ft. -ContinuedAccording to SEAT, the revised Leon Cupra 310 Limited Edition can achieve a top speed of 259 km/h or 161 mph making it the fastest ever production vehicle to wear the SEAT badge.
