Ferrari FF: New Photos of 660HP All-Wheel Drive Four-Seater Supercar

We've already had our first look at the all-new Ferrari FF, or as one Carscoop commenter put it, the... hunchback of Notre Maranello, but the Italian firm released additional photography of its flagship GT model today. Basically, we get one revealing studio shot of an FF finished in a grey color and three images of a prototype development mule clad in camouflage while testing out the four-wheel-drive system over the snow-covered roads of Sweden and Finland.

Ferrari's Revolutionary Breadvan: The Four-Seater, All-Wheel Drive FF

Ferrari's replacement for the 612 Scaglietti has finally come out of the closet ushering a radical new concept for the famed company from Maranello. The FF, which is an acronym for Ferrari Four, is probably the company's most versatile series production model ever featuring seating and luggage space for four, an all-wheel drive system and a shooting brake body style. It will be revealed at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show with sales to follow later in the year.

Designed by Pininfarina, the FF is a large sports car measuring 4,907 mm in length, 1,953 in width and 1,379 mm in height. The elongated roofline, the styling of the rear quarter and the car's proportions bring to mind a variety of older models, one of which is the BMW Z3 Coupe.

The Prancing Horse company has not published any photos of the interior yet, but notes that the FF "can comfortably accommodate four people and their luggage". Talking about boot capacity, there's 450 liters of space with all four passengers about, or 800 liter with the rear seats folded.

Ferrari FF AWD Sports Car Concept Heading to Geneva, Tipster Provides Initial Details

A Carscoop reader who wishes to remain anonymous, sent us an email with details on Ferrari's long-rumored 612 Scaglietti replacement, which is due to be revealed to a select few on Friday, January 21, before making its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show in March. While one can never be 100 per cent sure in these cases, for a variety of reasons, we're almost convinced that the information provided in the email is real. So, without further ado, here's what our tipster told us:

The car will be a pre-production study called the FF, which stands for Ferrari Four, as the GT model will seat four passengers and come with a new four-wheel drive system. Designed by Pininfarina, the FF gets a shooting brake-like body style with a large rear hatch, and a face that brings to mind a chubbier version of the 458 Italia. Inside, Maranello's latest creation will be able to seat four passengers with an impressive -for a supercar- load volume of 450 liters, which can be increased to as much as 800 liters if the rear seats aren't in use.

Ferrari Delivers its 500th Car in China

Ferrari China We don't intend on being mean or anything, but seriously now, does this guy look like he just received a brand-new Ferrari 612 Scaglietti OTO that was delivered to him personally by the Scuderia's Formula One driver F1 Felipe Massa? We swear that the last time we saw a facial expression like this was from a fella who was asking us to buy him dinner. Who knows, maybe it was because Mr. Lu bought the Ferrari as a birthday gift for his wife... -Continued

Ferrari China But whatev. Fact is that Mr Lu who is president of a well know Shanghai investment company happened to be Ferrari's 500th customer in China since it formally established operation in the country in August 2004. Mr Lu took delivery of the blue 612 Scaglietti at a special ceremony during the Shanghai GP F1 week held in the Italian automaker's Shanghai showroom.

The ceremony was attended by Jean Todt, President of the Board of Directors of Ferrari Asia Pacific and Marco Mattiacci, CEO of Ferrari Asia Pacific, along with more than 60 journalists from all over China.

Mr. Mattiacci commented, "With over 60% of market share in the luxury sports car segment and through various creative customer relationship programs, Ferrari has established a solid loyal customer base in China and become increasingly popular. The number '500' not only demonstrated what the prancing horse has achieved in China but also indicates the beginning of a new journey, when Ferrari will speed up its pace in this market."

Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Special Edition by Wallpaper* Magazine

So you have a “bit” of cash to spend but the Black Phantom (click here: Rolls Royce) is not your game? No problem as automakers always find a way to reach deep –very, very deep…. in their customers pockets.

This time, Ferrari Great Britain formed a partnership with Wallpaper*, a magazine for design, interiors, fashion and travel. Wallpaper’s award-winning Creative Director Tony Chambers and Art Editors Meirion Pritchard and David McKendrick were the lucky chaps who where called to design a “stylish and sophisticated” Ferrari 612 Scaglietti so as to interpret, the unlimited possibilities available via the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme.

In addition to the new Handling GTC package and F1 gearbox, Wallpaper* specified the car in a subtle two-tone paint scheme, with two complementary colours Nero and Blu Pozzi which are also silhouetted in the interior of the car, which has Nero and Blu Scuro leather Daytona seats with Blu stitching.

Specialities: The bespoke aspects of the car, designed and manufactured under Ferrari’s Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme, are: Wallpaper* branding on the aluminium kickplates, discreet branding on the leather of the glovebox lid, and a custom-made leather pocket for the magazine’s new Wallpaper* City Guides which will be launched in September 2006 as part of the Wallpaper* 10th anniversary celebrations.

The Carrozzeria Scaglietti Personalisation Programme isn’t restricted to just the car. Wallpaper* wanted to extend the bespoke elements to the matching six-piece luggage set which has not only been designed in the same Nero and Blu Scuro leather as the interior of the 612 Scaglietti, but the scallops on the luggage (which reflect the scallops which grace the side of the car itself) also feature Wallpaper* branding to ensure the car’s uniqueness.
