New Peugeot 207 Sportium Special Edition for Britain

There's a new addition to the range of Peugeot's 207 hatchback. It's called the "Sportium" and it builds on the specification of the previous special edition ["special edition" translates to "higher-spec model" in Peugeot's language...] 207 Millesim model. Available exclusively as a hatchback with a choice of either a VTi 95HP Euro 5 petrol engine or Peugeot's new HDi 92HP Euro 5 diesel engine, the Sportium is priced in the UK from £12,595.

Peugeot Hoggar: Pickup Truck Version of 207 Fully Revealed

Following a teaser announcement back in early March, French carmaker Peugeot has fully revealed the Hoggar, a new pint-sized pickup truck designed and developed in Brazil for the domestic market.

Borrowing a name from a two-seater buggy concept from 2003, the Hoggar pickup makes use of a hybrid platform developed from the rear end of the Partner van and the front end of the Brazilian-market 207 supermini, which itself is derived from the older Peugeot 206 and not the latest 207 hatch sold in Europe and other parts of the world.

New Peugeot Hoggar: Pocket-Sized Pick-Up Truck Based on the 207 Hatch

A new challenger is entering Brazil's lucrative small pick-up truck market as Peugeot's South American arm introduced the Hoggar today. Designed in Brazil, the pint-sized model is a pickup-truck version of the domestic market 207 supermini, which has nothing to do with the European 207 hatch as the Brazilian model is based on Peugeot's previous generation 206 hatch.

New Limited Run Peugeot 207 S16 is All Show, No Go

French carmaker Peugeot is capitalizing on Kriss Meeke's 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) driver's title with the creation of the special edition 207 S16 that will be produced in a mere 250 examples, all of which are intended for the UK market.

Unfortunately, despite its dramatic, go-fast looks, the 207 S16 is nothing more than a dressed up 207 Sport 1.6 VTi.

Changes over the Sport model include the standard Bianca white finish that's complemented by a full 207 RC Cup bodykit comprising front and rear spoilers, side skirts and a pseudo rear diffuser, 17-inch Hockenheim alloy wheels, dark tinted rear windows, a 'sports mesh' front grille and special interior badge signed by Kris Meeke.

Buyers can also opt free of charge for vinyl rally graphics that mimic those found on Kris Meeke's IRC winning 207 S2000 rally car.

The 207S16 is powered by the same 1.6-liter four-pot with 120HP found on the Sport model.

The 1.6-liter engine propels the three-door hatch from zero to 62mph (100km/h) in a sober 10.7 seconds and on to a maximum speed of 125mph or 201km/h, while returning a combined fuel economy of 47.1mpg UK or 39.2mpg US - 6.0 lt/100km.

Peugeot's UK arm said that the 207 S16 benefits from over £1,200 worth of additional specification compared to a standard Sport model and is priced at £14,695.
