2012 Nissan Maxima Receives a Barely Noticeable Refresh, Prices Remain the Same



Nissan's product-redesign blitz continues with the Maxima sedan, which receives a very modest refresh for the 2012 model year.

The cosmetic tweaks on the outside include a different front grille design, restyled rear combination lights, and new 18-inch and 19-inch aluminum-alloy wheels plus the addition of two new exterior colors named Java Metallic and Dark Slate.

Take this monstrously modified Nissan Maxima for example. It's as if the owner of the Kuwaiti licensed plate vehicle went into an automotive supermarket randomly picking out accessories and parts for the mix. Here's a shortlist of his "groceries": BMW 7-Series fascia, BMW M3-like front bumper, Lamborghini style front scissor doors, two-part hood, gullwing rear doors and a Supra-like rear wing are just a few of the countless items that he added to the poor Maxima. What can we say...

SEMA: 2009 Nissan Maxima by STILLEN

Well-know Nissan race driver and builder Steve Millen joined forces with the Japanese automaker to offer a full aftermarket treatment on the latest generation Maxima. Modifications to the four-door sedan include but are not limited to engine airflow management improvements, rear roof and deck lid spoilers, custom-made multispoke alloy wheels wrapped in chunky rubber and a two-tone black-and-silver paint scheme with red stripping.
