SPIED: Audi Testing Facelifted 2013 A4 Allroad Quattro

It's been four years since Audi presented the fourth generation of its A4 series, which means it's time for the Ingolstadt-based automaker to present a mid-life nip-and-tuck for the premium model that is available in sedan, Avant (estate) and Allroad Quatro body styles.

On this occasion, we’ve snagged photos of a prototype of the facelifted A4 Allroad Quattro during testing in Europe. Even though Audi's engineers have covered up the test model in swirly patterns, we can see that the changes will be concentrated up front and at the back.

SPIED: New Audi RS1 Pocket-Rocket Shows up on the 'Ring

Audi's Quattro GmbH sports car division has its work cut out lately. Apart from the RS5 Convertible, the RS4 Avant and rumored RS7, the company's engineers are also developing the RS1 based on the A1 premium supermini.

Captured here by our crafty spy photographers while testing in and around the Nürburgring race circuit, the prototype sports typical RS-styling traits such as the prominent front bumper air vents, a large rear wing and a rear diffuser with space for two bulbous tail pipes.

SPY SHOTS: New Audi RS5 Convertible Spotted Testing

In September, following the opening of the Frankfurt Motor Show, we broke the story on the official design patents of the new Audi RS5 Convertible. Now, only a few weeks after, we have the first spy pictures of a test mule caught near the Nürburgring track in Germany.

This prototype is based on the S5 Convertible but features the front end complete with wider tracks and a modified bumper from the RS5. If you're wondering what the production model will look like, you can check out the patent images in our previous post.

Official: Audi Applies Trademarks for New RS5 Cabriolet

While Audi never officially talked about the possibility of presenting a convertible version of its RS5 sports car, the idea has been circulating around the internet ever since the debut of the coupe.

But now we have concrete evidence that Audi will most likely go ahead and very soon introduce an RS5 Cabriolet to its lineup thanks to these official trademark fillings obtained by Carscoop.

The images provide us with a 360-degree view of the roofless RS5 (in facelift form, as you may have noticed) that will feature seating for four and the same electrically operated fabric top as the A5 and S5 convertibles, the refreshed versions of which made their world premiere in Frankfurt last week.

SPY SHOTS: Hotted Up Audi Q3 S/RS with 2.5-liter Turbo Takes to the 'Ring

A new flagship version of the Audi Q3 series is starting to take shape as the German company has begun testing prototype models of what may end up carrying the 'S', 'RS' or even perhaps a different moniker altogether on the famous Nürburgring racetrack.

We first received concrete proof that Audi is contemplating the development of a high-performance version of its Q3 compact crossover during a press event in Switzerland when the Ingolstadt-based automaker gave journalists the opportunity to drive a test model equipped with the force-fed five-pot found in the TT RS and RS3 models.

SPY SHOTS: 2013 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro is on its Way

While we have already brought you a single grainy picture of a completely undisguised 2013 Audi A6 Allroad Quattro prototype that was caught completely off guard on the road, our spy photographers just dropped these latest pictures of a test car in our mailbox.

The mild off-road version of the new A6 Avant, which will once again carry the Allroad Quattro moniker, was covered up in the usual swirly camouflage seen on other Audi prototypes.

SCOOP: New Audi RS4 Avant Flexes its Muscles on the Nürburgring

While Audi's executive officers were showcasing the Ingolstadt-based firm's latest conceptual and production models such as the S6, S7, S8 and the Urban studies, the company's engineers were hard at work trying out a prototype of the upcoming RS4 series in Avant form.

The wider front and rear tracks hiding under blistered wheel arches along with the massive brakes, large alloy wheels and the typical RS-style twin oval tail pipes leave no doubt that this is the upcoming RS4 Avant model.

2012 Audi S6 Avant Scooped Undisguised, gets New V8 Shared with Bentley

Audi’s new A6 model series will soon welcome a new member into the family, the sporty S6 that was snagged by our spy photographers in Avant trim during testing in Germany.

The prototype model was completely undisguised, however, there’s a reason for that. With the exception of some model specific details such as the telling quad tail pipes and unique alloy wheel designs, the S6 will remain unchanged from the A6 with the optional S-Line sport package. The latter adds an aero kit with restyled front and rear bumpers, among other parts.

Video: Audi Q3 RS Prototype Fitted with RS3’s 2.5-liter Turbocharged Inline-Five

What more proof that Audi is seriously considering the introduction of a high-performance S or RS version of its newly launched Q3 compact SUV than the creation of a prototype model shown at a media event?

According to the folks over at Sweden’s Sportbilen, the prototype was uncovered during the European press launch of the new Audi Q3 in Zurich, Switzerland. And mind you, this wasn’t a static presentation as the media had the chance to drive the pre-production model on the road.

Was ist das? Strange Volkswagen-Skoda Hybrid Spied in Munich

Roman Jagatić is the latest addition to our ever-growing list of readers-turned-into spy photographers. Roman stumbled upon this strange looking Volkswagen-Skoda hybrid prototype parked at a gas station in Munich, Germany. The test car appears to combine a modified body of a Skoda Octavia with a Volkswagen front end.

While we do not have a definite answer to what it may be, possible scenarios include a test car for a new Skoda Octavia and a prototype for a Volkswagen-badged model for select markets outside Europe.

SCOOP: Audi’s Über R8 GT Spyder Hits the ‘Ring

There’s a new Audi model coming to town. We’re talking about the 2012 R8 GT Spyder that will make its global premiere at the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and which we caught testing in and around the Nurburgring racetrack in Germany. Even though Audi recently teased us with a set of renderings, these are some of the first real life photos of the R8 GT Spyder, which is seen here in prototype guise.

SCOOP: 2012 Audi S7 Snagged Testing, Rumored to get New V8 Engine

With the reveal of Audi’s rakish A7 sports liftback in the summer of 2010, we knew it was only a matter of time before the Ingolstadt-based automaker enhanced the range with a top-spec model wearing the S badge and down the line, an even gutsier version with the firm’s famed RS moniker.

We’re still waiting for the RS7 but the development of the S7 appears to be reaching its final stages as you can see in these photos of a prototype spied in Europe. Being that unlike the flashy-looking RS range, all of Audi's ‘S’ branded models are rather inconspicuous, it comes to no surprise that the only telling feature of the prototype model other than the S-Line aero package, which can be had on all A7s, are the four-exhaust pipes at the back.

SCOOP: New Audi RS4 Avant Snagged Testing on the Nurburgring

It looks like Audi has set its mind to fill all the performance niches in the premium category. Following news on the development of a hot S6 based on the latest iteration of Ingolstadt’s executive mid-size model, our man with the long lens has caught a prototype version of the upcoming RS4 Avant testing around the Nurburgring race track.

Even though the prototype is a test mule based on the S4 Avant, there are certain elements that tell us there’s something different about this model. These include the heavily blistered front and rear wheel arches housing the same dark 20-inch alloy rims found on the RS5 Coupe, as well as a modified front bumper with different air vents to supply additional cooling to the engine.

2012 Audi RS6 Sports Sedan Rendered by Photoshop Buff

Talk about a lightning fast response. It's been less than 24 hours since Audi pulled the veils off the fourth-generation A6 premium sedan, and yet we already have a photoshop rendering of the future RS6 created by an artist from EDL. Granted, the production model would most likely sport blistered wheel arches while it wouldn't sit so close to the ground, but the 'chop gives us an idea of what an RS version of the new A6 would look like.

BREAKING: 2012 Audi A6 Sedan Photos Leaked

We can now add the 2012 (or 2011, depending on your market) Audi A6 sedan to the long list of leaked reveals as the first pictures of the Ingolstadt's executive mid-sizer have surfaced on the Dutch car site Autoblog.nl. We’ll soon bring you a full plate of info on the all-new A6 sedan, but for now, you can check the full image gallery after the jump.

Being based on the more upscale A7 Sportback, it comes to no surprise that the new A6 looks like a sedan version of the first with a less curvalicious roofline and a more mundane rear-end that brings to mind the smaller A4 sedan. The similarities are far more evident in the interior as with a few exceptions aside such as the door panel detailing, the A6's cabin is identical to the A7 Sportback.

2012 Audi A6 Sedan Teased in Group Picture, Production Begins this Year

A couple of days ago, while we were focusing on the SEMA Show tuning extravaganza, Audi released some new photos of its A7 Sportback. Among those pictures were two group shots showing a sedan model covered in a white blanket.

We didn't even need to search or speculate on the model as Audi provided the answer in the photos' description: it's the new 2012 A6 sedan, and according to the Ingolstad-based automaker, it will go into production this year at the Neckarsulm site.

Even though the white wrapping succeeds in hiding the A6's styling, our spy shots suggest that Audi's BMW 5-Series rival will more or less remind an A7 with a normal boot and a less swoopy roof line. You can refresh your memory on the spy shots by checking out our previous article here.

Audi A1 with S-Line Sport Package Spotted in the Wild

A sharp-eyed reader over from Autogespot took this single photo of the brand-new Audi A1 in the city of Barcelona, Spain. If we're not mistaken, the specific model appears to be equipped with the S-Line package that adds several goodies such as 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels, sport suspension, a larger roof spoiler at the back and unique bumpers (notice the protruding insert on the rear bumper).

Audi's Mini Cooper chasing A1 hatch will have its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show in March. At launch, it will be offered as a three door hatch with of four engines including two petrol units, the 86HP 1.2 TSI and 122HP 1.4 TSI plus two diesels, a 1.6 TDI with 90HP and 105HP.

European sales of the A1 will start this summer with prices beginning from around €16,000. No word yet if the Audi's new entry-level model will make it on this side of the Atlantic.

VIDEO: New Audi A7 Caught Testing with BMW 7-Series in Norway

A pair of camouflaged prototypes of the upcoming Audi A7 were spotted testing outside the city of Oslo in Norway. The A7s appear to be accompanied by an A5 Sportback, a BMW 7-Series and one more car that we couldn't identify. The A7 is to the next-generation A6 what the A5 Sportback is to the A4 / A5 models; a sexier looking and less practical five-door variant (notice the open hatch in the video) of the A6 with seating for four.

Designed to compete with the likes of the Mercedes-Benz CLS that will soon enter its second generation, the A7 shares its steel-reinforced aluminium platform and mechanical hardware with the next A6.

The A7 though will arrive first as Audi has already made it official that it will launch the sporty-looking saloon onto the market in the second half of 2010.

Power will come from a variety of gasoline and diesel engines including the firm's supercharged 3.0-liter V6 TFSI petrol, while rumor has it that Audi will expand the range in 2011 with a gasoline-electric hybrid model.
