From Poland with Love: Arrinera Supercar Revealed in the Flesh [with Video]

It has been three years since we first told you about a new supercar venture from Poland (see here). Many had expressed doubts as to whether the newly formed company, then named Veno Automotive, could pull it off and create the country’s first supercar model. Fast forward to today, and the Polish company, which is now called Arrinera Automotive, presented the first real-life prototype of its yet to be named supercar model.

While to a lesser degree than what the original sketches from 2008 implied, the prototype Arrinera features an edgy styling and certain details like the shape of the headlamps and front air vents that are all very similar to Lamborghini’s Murcielago / Reventon series.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Photo Leak Part XLVIII

We've seen more leaks on the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 than on a rusty pipe of late, so we're hardly surprised that a new set of images surfaced online today. The three fresh pictures show the Raging Bull's engine bay with the brand-new 700-horsepower 6.5-liter V12 unit, the supercar's interior and the sculptured fuel cap. Unless someone spills the beans later today or during the weekend, you'll have to wait until Monday for the full reveal at the Geneva Motor Show.

Lambo Bull [Insert 'S' Word Here] Continues with Full Release of Photos

The farce of the "leaked" Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 photos continues to play on. Following the appearance of a scanned image from the Croatian edition of Evo Magazine on Wednesday, earlier today Jalopnik released a single photo only to be snarked back by Autoblog that posted a higher resolution version claiming that it knew where the photo came from but was sworn to obsessively cover the auto industry secrecy until Monday.

In the third -but certainly not final- act of the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 play, Jalopnik has published two more pictures, luckily for our browsers, on its Facebook page. You can check the trio of photos by clicking this link that will forward you directly to the Facebook gallery.

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Leaks Continue with New Photo

Pictures of the new Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 are floating right and left lately, with the most recent one coming from Jalopnik. The new photo reveals the Italian supercar's profile that brings to mind both the Murcielago and the edgier-shaped Reventon. If you're wondering about how the rest of the car looks like, you might have to wait until its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1, however, given the way things are going, we wouldn't be surprised if we got an early unveil within the next couple of days. In the meantime, follow the break to check out the complete gallery of photos that we have of the V12-powered Lambo.

Reventon-Style Bodykit for Lamborghini Gallardo

If you're searching for an answer to the question what to do when you own a Lamborghini Gallardo but want the style of the limited run Reventon model, you may want to take a look at these aero part offerings from German tuning firm CDC-International.

Even though the similarities are far less obvious than the tuner would like us to believe, nevertheless, the newly styled protruding front bumper and 'busy' side skirts offer the Gallardo what we'd describe as a more Reventon-ish look.

Mystery Car Revealed: Mazda RX-8 Turned Into Lamborghini-Themed Coupe from Singapore

Those of you that answered "Mazda RX-8" in our mystery car quiz are indeed correct and you may pat yourselves on the back. This uniquely modified Mazda RX-8 is owned by a Carscoop reader from Singapore who goes by the nickname "Shawnz".

His goal is to create a one-of-a-kind Mazda RX-8 Coupe (yes, the stock model's rear-hinged suicide doors are gone) with inspiration coming predominantly from two Lamborghini models, the limited production Reventon and the conceptual Estoque sports saloon.

Shawnz will send more photos and details over our way as the development progresses, but for now, you can follow the jump to read his story and check out the full gallery.

PS: Our friend from Singapore is working his way through school, so as you can imagine, it's not easy to keep up with the expenses involved in such a project.

That said, Shawnz would appreciate any kind of support or sponsoring from companies engaged in the tuning industry. If you're willing to help out, send us an email and we'll bring you in direct contact with Shawnz.

____________________________________________________________________

The Story as told to us by 'Shawnz':

My goal is to create a completely unique RX-8 Coupe with a sleek design that will stand out from the crowd.

The company associated with the project is called J's Artworks. They initially turned me down when I could not settle with their asking price but the company's boss liked my idea and so we finally agreed on a fair amount.

Starting with the side skirts, I did not like the usual aftermarkets parts that were readily available. In most cases, side skirts simply make the car look lower without adding to the design of the car.

I really liked the Lamborghini Reventon's side skirts so I decided that was the way to go.

Next up the front bumpers that were a real challenge. For the RX-8, I found the Nakamura Racing Factory front bumpers truly eye-catching. So from there on, took some styling cues from other Lamborghini models and voila!!!

The rear-end of the car was a big question mark. There was no design to my liking. However, after going through all sorts of supercar exotics and hot rods for ideas, I came up with something I liked. The back won't be finished until September 2010. It is to surprise the public at the upcoming Super Import Nights here in Singapore.

So with the Lamborghini Reventon-style skirts, J's Artworks suggested that I widen the body. That did not sit very well with me because I still wanted the use the car on the race track.

I wanted the car not only to look good, but also to be reliable. Lots of planning, trials and errors, and setbacks were encountered along the way. First of all, I wanted to make sure that the FRP, putty, etc used was the right amount so that no unnecessary weight would be added.

Second, I didn't want to make the body too wide so I could still be able to use my own 245/35 R19 tires. However, we did have to use spacers at the back. And that took quite a bit of time to find a suitable pcm so that I could use the thinnest spacer required. We ended up using a pcm from a BMW.

Due to the known heat issues with the RX-8, we had to be careful with the bonnet. I really wanted to go with a vented hood, but having the sleek design in mind, I decided to create an inverted vented bonnet. The heat will escape through an opening we created at the back of the hood.

The large vents on the front bumper also help by directing plenty of air to the oil coolers and engine bay.

Color wise, the obvious choice was to go black. But the boss at J's Artwork told me that with this finish, the sharp lines and contours of the car would not stand out therefore defeating the purpose.

Going glossy was a no no. Matte was the answer. Since I could not get glossy black, and yet wanted it to look cool and stealthy, I chose the F-22 color.

Something grayish and dark but not too much. The Reventon looked similar and I found out that it had a pinch of special green in it. So we ended up using this combo.

I think that's about it. Interior wise, I have no plans yet except to have lightweight materials installed.

Can You Guess on Which Car this Lamborghini-Themed Tuning Project is Based on?

We'll give you a couple of hints to help you out with the answer to our question: it's not a supercar of any sorts and the transformation to something that's clearly inspired by the design of certain Lamborghinis such as the Reventon and Estoque Concept, involves, among other things, the alteration of the donor vehicle's body style.

Follow the jump to check out the rest of the pictures that were sent to us by the owner of the vehicle and to give your answers in the comment section. And of course, stay tuned for a follow up post with details and more photos on the ongoing project.

Lamborghini Delivers Last Reventon No20 to UK Customer

The last example of Lamborghini's one million euro (plus taxes) Reventon supercar, has been delivered to a British customer at the firm's official Midlands dealership in Birmingham. The Italian firm built a total of 20 cars all of which had been sold prior to its public reveal in September 2007. The particular Reventon is the only one destined for the UK. The buyer, who wishes to remain anonymous, told Lamborghini officials that he intends to drive his 650HP+ V12 supercar rather than simply garaging it - and who can blame him...

"Our client was understandably delighted," said Lamborghini Birmingham sales manager Dominic Mulvey, who accompanied the fortunate Brit to Lamborghini's Sant'Agata-based factory near Bologna. "Lamborghini's President and CEO, Stephan Winkelmann, personally presented the Reventón to its new owner who then drove off in his new car."

‘Used’ Lamborghini Reventon No3 quickly finds Buyer on eBay Auction

Lamborghini Reventon eBayRemember the Lamborghini Reventon? Of course you do. How can you possibly forget such an outrageous and unique supercar with an equally outrageous price tag of 1 million or about $1.45 million US. From the 20 examples that Lamborghini said it would build, 10 were destined for the States. One of them, and in particular Reventon number 3, arrived on this side of the Atlantic earlier this year, but after adding a mere 73 miles on the odometer, the owner decided for his own personal reasons to put the vehicle up for sale on eBay. -Continued

Surprisingly and despite the economic crunch of the stock market, the bid ended quiet quickly. We’re not sure of the exact sum that the Reventon changed hands for, but the “Buy it Now Price” on eBay was a ridiculous $2.5 million US or about 1.7 million.

Veno Supercar from Poland or Simply Put, Lamborghini Reventon Replica

Veno Automotive is a new car company from Poland controlled by the UK-based private equity fund Heros Capital. In spite of being a newbie, the Polish firm has revealed an ambitious plan to build a limited production supercar that has yet to be named. We’ll simply call it the Reventon Replica as despite Veno’s ramblings about a unique design inspired from jet fighters, it doesn’t take a car guru to see that it’s a total Lamborghini knock off.

According to Veno Automotive, the supercar will compete against the best of the best including Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Koenigsegg, Ascari and Pagani. And how do they intend to that – apart from forging the Reventon’s design that is? First of all, the Polish firm says that it has developed a high-tech chassis capable of handling over… 1,000 HP.
